What are fillers?
Fillers are injectable treatment used to treat wrinkles and volume loss that occurs in your face naturally over time. Common ones you may have heard of include Juvederm, Restylane, and Radiesse.
How do fillers work?
Fillers work by restoring volume in your skin. In most fillers the active ingredient is a sugar called hyaluronic acid. Hyaluronic acid draws water into the area filling your wrinkles and folds. By adding volume, fillers can also provide structural support to your face in areas such as your temples, upper cheeks, nose, chin, and jawline.
What are RHA fillers?
RHA stands for resilient hyaluronic acid. The RHA fillers are designed to be more resilient to facial movements. When you make facial expressions like speaking, laughing, and smiling your skin moves. The RHA fillers adapt to these movement to look natural both at rest and when you make facial expressions.
What RHA fillers are available?
There are four available RHA fillers, numbered 1 through 4. RHA 1 is called Redensity. Redensity is for very fine lines like the ones around the lips. RHA 2 works well in the lips and under eyes. RHA 3 is great for laugh lines (nasolabial folds) and marionette lines. RHA 4 has the best structural capacity and is great for the upper cheeks and jawline.
When will I see results from RHA?
The great thing about fillers such as RHA is that you see your results right away. You will have some swelling as with any injection. That will go away within two weeks when you’ll see your final results.
How long will my results last?
Clinical trials showed that the RHA fillers las up to 12 – 15 months. This depends on the specific product and the number of syringes used. In clinical trials, usually a high number of syringes are used. With typical injection volumes, most people enjoy their results for six months to a year. But this can be longer if more product is used.
How much does RHA cost?
The RHA products are an outstanding option for those on a budget. The quality and results are great. They don’t last quite as long as some of the other ones like Voluma. But RHA products offer a very competitive price.
