What is the #nofilter treatment?
The #nofilter treatment is a two-step treatment designed by Dr. Alex to treat multiple aspects of aging in a single treatment. The first step of the #nofilter treatment is the Forever Young BBL IPL photofacial. The Forever Young BBL IPL photofacial treatment uses bright light to target and destroy unwanted color in your skin. The Forever Young BBL IPL photofacial treatment will improve dark spots and uneven color as well as redness or any broken capillaries. The second step in the #nofilter treatment is an Ultra Microneedling treatment. You may have heard of traditional microneedling, which, as its name implies, uses tiny needles to make holes in the skin. This will correct the color and stimulate your skin to make collagen, to tighten the skin. Ultra Microneedling is even better because Dr. Alex uses a laser technology to create the holes. So there are no needles, there’s no bleeding, the recovery time is shorter, the treatment is faster, and the results are even better.
What does the #nofilter treatment do?
The great thing about the #nofilter treatment is that it does so much for your skin. You can expect an improvement in any uneven color you may have on your skin. Dull skin will start to glow. Fine lines, wrinkles, and sagging skin will be a thing of the past. As seen here, you can even get improvement in dark circles under your eyes without surgery or fillers.
What will happen during my #nofilter treatment?
Before your #nofilter treatment we will take baseline pictures of your skin to monitor your progress. Then we’ll apply numbing cream on your skin to keep you comfortable. After about 15 minutes, we clean the numbing cream off of your skin using special products. We will apply an eye protection sticker over your eyes. You will see a bright light during the first step, the Forever Young BBL IPL photofacial treatment. Just keep your eyes closed, you’ll be fine. We apply cold gel on your skin to transmit the light and we blow cold air on your skin to keep you comfortable. The first step, the Forever Young BBL IPL photofacial treatment, feels like a hot rubber band snapping on your skin. It takes just a few minutes; people tolerate it fine. After that, we’ll remove your eye protection, clean the gel off of your skin, and give you a different eye protection for the second step, the Ultra Microneedling treatment. We blow cold air on your skin during the Ultra Microneedling treatment, which feels like a pins and needles sensation. The Ultra Microneedling treatment is also very fast. Afterwards, your skin will be red and hot for a few hours. This is normal. We’ll apply an A E Skin Hydrating Sheet Mask on your skin for about 15 minutes after your #nofilter treatment. This cools and calms down your skin. Then we’ll apply some aftercare products and sunscreen on your skin.
What do I need to do after my #nofilter treatment?
You can expect some recovery time after your #nofilter treatment. Everyone is different but it usually takes anywhere from three to seven days. Stronger treatments usually have longer recovery time. You skin may be red and swollen for a few days. You may also see the tiny holes created on your skin if you look closely in a mirror. Your skin will also feel rough to the touch; some people say it feels like sandpaper. We’ll give you aftercare products to use after your #nofilter treatment. The first is the A E Skin Soothing Chamomile Mist. The Skin Soothing Chamomile Mist is a spray water that has the scent of lavender; it will provide hydration to the skin. Spray the A E Skin Soothing Chamomile Mist onto your skin. Some people like to refrigerate the A E Skin Soothing Chamomile Mist for increased comfort. While your skin is still wet, apply a thin layer of the A E Skin Healing Ointment onto your skin. This will help retain the moisture in your skin and speed up the healing process. Do this process at least twice a day for about a week after your #nofilter treatment, but you can do it up to every hour while awake for faster healing. Be careful if you have acne prone skin because applying too much of the A E Skin Healing Ointment can causes breakout; just use a very thin layer of the A E Skin Healing Ointment and make sure your skin is nice and wet before you apply the A E Skin Healing Ointment. You can also apply cold compresses such as ice packs if your skin is hot or swollen. Other things that will decrease swelling include sleeping on an extra pillow, avoiding salty foods, and drinking plenty of water.
When will I see results after the #nofilter treatment?
The sun damage on your skin was created over years and it will not go away overnight. It’s important to remember this and therefore be patient. Dr. Alex recommends a series of six #nofilter treatments like the person shown in the pictures above received. You’ll see the results of your #nofilter treatment slowly over the course of your #nofilter treatments.
How long will the results of my #nofilter treatment last?
The great thing about the #nofilter treatment is that the results last for a long time. If you start with the recommended series of six #nofilter treatment, you can expect the improvement seen here six months after your final treatment. Dr. Alex recommends a single #nofilter treatment as maintenance after your initial series of #nofilter treatments. This will keep your skin looking youthful and healthy.
